Campers!

Well we made it. sort of. ah well...we survived haha.
Round 2 of camping happened this weekend and it was a great weekend indeed. We stayed at Rockwood Conservation Area and it was beautiful there!
We definitely needed a canoe, as the Aramosa river was calling us...it's on our radar now that we know Gpa has a canoe for us to use. Clover and myself were eaten alive...too sweet for our own good ;)

Poppy, you were the only one who slept...thank you.

Clover, you did not sleep...and you screamed out "I don't want Camping" in the wee hours of the night...to your defense we were sleeping in a 3 person tent on a memory foam pad and it was freezing.

Also on our list to get:

Air mattress
Bigger tent
Games/books and whatever you two need to keep your spirits up

We had booked two nights....but early on in the day your weary pops and I looked at each other and thought: no way am I repeating what we just endured. So we packed up and went on to Bronte Creek Provincial Park. We had visited this park years ago when we were solo, and it was a jolly good time! It did not disappoint and we had a great time and a fab swim.
We finished the day with Ikea froyo with "Unken Tyler".

So there you have it...it wasn't as planned, but we learned we can always have fun if we just stick together ♥

One more thing.

Enjoy this.

Honey Bunny/Puddle Jumper

So it's Thursday, and Poppy is 4 days into a wee bit more independence and I think she is into it. What awesome thing came from Poppy going to camp is that I get time with Honey Bunny. Clover, you are so cute!!! we went on a walk today, and you were singing and dancing, climbing and jumping....and picking up prime sticks and an empty snail shell here and there.
I am totally loving spending time with my littlest weirdo, just her and I! I will do this more in the future ♥

Success!

Poppy had a wonderful first day of Waldorf camp! She especially loved her lunch, and playing fort. She is excited to go back again tomorrow...I'd say that is Success with a capital S right there. ♥

Are you working hard, or hardly working?

Business as usual this week, we went to the beach Tuesday am...bright and early and had a lovely time! You both played in the sand making "goop" and both wanted to stay forever.
The weather was perfect and water was calm. We will be returning.

Thursday we had the good fortune to enjoy steel drums in the Garden in Wortley Village. What a great night, you both loved it...shaking your groove thangs.

Saturday we went to the beach again! this time all 4 of us and it was a great time, despite raining mid visit...but it was a gentle rain.

Today we decided to hit the trails at Komoka and we went WAY farther than usual. 2 hours!
You both did very well, and we saw THREE beautiful snakes. After our adventure we headed off to Prince Al's diner, where you had a chocolate milkshake (OMG) and grilled cheese with salad.

We are getting ready for Poppy to go to Waldorf camp this coming week, and are very excited to see what fun she will have. Lucky girl, I am green with envy my love.

Well that's our week...let's see what we can get into this week!

Long over due, but starting of something new...again haha.

Ahoy there!

So we've been busy as usual...I was using Facebook to post cool shots, updates and what have yous for you girls, but I am going to try this from now on.

Poppy, you are 4! Friday we went to the Aquarium and the Old Spaghetti Factory and you loved it!!
Although the drive home was horrific we made it in one piece and all was well.

Saturday (the big day) you went to your soccer finale party which had 3 bouncy castles, snow cones and a trophy. You said good bye to your new pals, hopefully we will see some of them next season. Daddy was a proud coach, as in your last game you scored 3 goals!! From there we went out for breakfast just us three, and to see a Pirate movie which you did really well in...awesome. Then we went to the farm and had dinner and cake aaand presents. You made out well and it was a great day. Happy Birthday my sweetie, we love you to the max.

Yesterday you went to the Home County Festival with Daddy and had a bitch'n 4 hours. You listened to music, collected Acorns and some great shots of just you three.

All in all, I'd say that was a super fantastic weekend!

Currently....

Well Hello there!

Just thought I would do an update here and try to get routine again.

Poppy:

You are loving snuggling and watching movies. Monsters Inc is a fave, the Gruffalo's Son, and Scooby Doo. It is wonderful to sit and snuggle, I am loving this.
You still are not down with anything to do with onions, but your favorite thing to eat is pretty much everything. "Tubes" or "Tubies" are a must for both of you.
Home made Playdoh is a hoot, you love to make hotdogs, snow men and snakes.

Clover:

You are into EVERYTHING you little mischief maker! You love pouring things into things, (more like pouring everything into the dog dish and spilling it...multiple times)
You are talking up a storm, and are able to form perfect sentences. It is wonderful to be able to understand and communicate!
You watch your sister for inspiration, but you are very good at going off on your own to explore.

Things we do:

We have discovered a wonderful Parenting and Literacy Centre at a local School. It is so awesome!! we go whenever we can, and you guys have so much fun there! Ms Amanda is wonderful; she reads stories, makes tasty snacks, sings songs and has crafts. As a Mama I am forever grateful to have this program available and it is a lifesaver! Winter is long, and we cannot get outside like we do, and these walls are pretty close...so to have a place where we can run and play has saved us!

We try to get out for walks whenever we can, but this winter has been especially cold and miserable with not much "snowman" snow. We read stories, sing songs and have dance parties on a regular basis. We also have a wonderful Nanny who comes whenever she can. Olivia is so sweet and kind and takes amazing care...and she BAKES delicious treats!

Ok, 6:34 now...Clover you are up and our day is starting!

Love you both ♥
